Yesterday the EuroGames 2016 opened in Hesinki, Finland. EuroGames are the European Gay and Lesbian Sport Championships and take place from 29th of June to 2nd of July 2016. As part of the opening ceremony a new banner of  the exhibition „Against the Rules – Lesbains and gays in sport“ was presented: Tinja-Riika Korpela, goalkeeper of Germand team Bayner Munich, herself was present at the ceremony and unveiled her portrait. She is also ambassador of EuroGames 2016 in Helsinki.

John Ryan from the European Gay and Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF), the organisers of EuroGames, proudly represented the Queering Football network.

The new banner was produced in the framework of the project Queering Football and with support oft he European Union.
